Summary[]
Aaralyn is introduced. She is a guard at the Academy and spends most of her time in the LINK at the entrance to the Emulate Chamber (The Prison). Hycis speaks with Narissa and tells her with training she has the ability to remove the Cracked Jewels from people and she can be taught by Aaralyn as she is the only one who has managed to do this herself. Narissa goes in search for Aaralyn. She finds her and finds out that not only can Aaralyn remove the Jewels from anyone, but she has also removed her own through sheer will-power. Her Jewel evaporated having been forcefully removed from the host without the host being killed. Aaralyn tells Narissa that to remove a Jewel from a person is like removing a part of them that they can't live without. Aaralyn cannot die. Nor does she age. Removing her Jewel herself has brought about her eternal curse, because she was afraid of dying, she now has to live forever. The only way for her Jewel to return is for her to accept death when it arrives. She orders Narissa away. The Jewel cannot be destroyed while Aaralyn refuses to die as Aaralyn still contains the essence of the Jewel that chose to inhabit her. Narissa tells Aaralyn that people will come after her and find a way to obtain the Jewel by force and that Death isn't the end. As Narissa predicted, Aaralyn is attacked but escapes. Star Elite are tasked to protect her.
